The Notion is amazing, to tell the truth, anything that helps us to ease the task of the organization is amazing.

One of the most important features provided by Notion is a toggle.

Toggle List — Notion

We know that for better studying we should practice spaced repetition. Toggle helps in effective spaced repetition.

How to use toggle?

Consider you are making notes on a topic let us say World War 1.

World War I, also known as the Great War, began in 1914 after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. His murder catapulted into a war across Europe that lasted until 1918. During the conflict, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire (the Central Powers) fought against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the United States (the Allied Powers). Thanks to new military technologies and the horrors of trench warfare, World War I saw unprecedented levels of carnage and destruction. By the time the war was over and the Allied Powers claimed victory, more than 16 million people — soldiers and civilians alike — were dead.

There is a lot of information here and we need to remember it.

If we read this daily there is a chance we will remember it but it is not effective because our brain is not getting enough trouble in reading it. This is passive reading.

Active reading is when our brain works to remember the information. It engages with the content.

Consider the following while recalling the above information.

This time instead of reading the text your brain will be asked to think for the answer making it more efficient. To see the answer you just need to click toggle.

This along with spaced repetition will help you to retain the information for a longer period of time.

Happy Learning!
